Task Description: Construction of
the flyway around the flight barn. This is a BIG construction project
that will take days. The flyway will completely surround the
existing flight barn. We will be building 10
foot high walls and covering some with plywood and others with wire
mesh. The roof is partially covered with translucent panels, and
partially covered with mesh (like our eagle cage). The foundation
will be timbers spiked into the ground with rebar.
Personal Gear Required: Outdoor work, so dress appropriately for the season. Good boots and gloves.
Skills Required: Framing carpentry. Power and air tools. Ladder work. Roof work.
Level of Difficulty: 4 - 5, not a beginner's project.
Time Requirements: No less than 1 day at a time is required. The project will take days, but it has to be done by our 4th of July Open House.
TRAC will Provide: All tools and materials. If you have your own that you prefer, that's good too.
