Training Spirit was an eye opener in a couple of ways. First of all, he is a big, strong bird capable of challenging a human on a physical level.

He is a very fast learner, and vocally communicative. Fortunately, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body and has never bitten and since his
introduction to the glove, has never struck with his talons.

This is what an exhausted, concussed, hurting eagle looks like.
